The Betta’s native habitat is the warm, still ponds, swamps and rice paddies of Southeast Asia. There, among the leaves and branches of the dense undergrowth, these carnivorous fish hunt for small insects and larvae. Although the Bettas found in pet stores today have been captive bred, they should be kept in conditions that mimic their ancestor’s natural environment. Therefore, an aquarium (minimum size of 10 gallons) that is decorated with several plants and that has gentle water movement will suit them best. A cover, with a few small openings to allow air circulation, should also be provided to prevent them from jumping out. Bettas like warmer temperatures so the water in the aquarium should be kept between 76-85 F with a slightly acidic pH of 6.5-7.0. Their diet should consist primarily of meaty foods such as brine shrimp, bloodworms, freeze-dried tubifex worms, etc. Bettas can grow to 3 inches long and live for up to 3 years if cared for properly. | | Could you live without eating bread? Any bread at all.. | | I had my surgery August 20th would you believe the one thing i could not live without was bread? I have not had any bread since my surgery. I don't eat sandwiches any more. My favorites were peanut butter and jelly and turkey and cheese. I lost over 68 pounds so far. I don't think I will ever eat bread again. I do want a subway sandwich at times. But the bread is not something I miss. Rachel is alone in her house because her parents go to their province so we decided to visit her. While walking and chatting with my friend julius i requested him to find an ice cream vendor because i am so bitter that time. Luckily, he found an ice cream vendor. A unique ice cream vendor. I was shocked for the first time asking myself why there was a bread behind his bicycle. Because of my curiosity i started asking my friend julius if that bread is only a snack of the vendor. He said to me that it is a special ice cream. I am so curious so i started to ask him to treat me some of that. He treated me with a cheese flavored ice cream located inside the bread. At first i am afraid to taste it so he push me to eat it and tell me that it is delicious. I started biting it and owwwwwwww!! what a feeeling!!!!! it was so delicious . | | Bread for the Dead | | I remember when my sister and me went to our friends birthday bash.On our way home, there’s this middle age woman carrying his small son to her chest and a little boy tagging along with her. They were begging through our window. I couldn’t help but to keep looking away from them after I shook my head of not giving anything.
