| | | Good new albums this year? | | My favorite new albums of the year so far are Nothing Personal by All Time Low, 21st Century Breakdown by Green Day, and Hot Mess by Cobra Starship, what are some of your favorite albums that have come out in the past year? Why do you like them and what style/genre are they? | |
| | the 90's music is the best. you? what do you think is the best year of music? | | The 90's rock no matter how much I think about it.sure the 80's is cool for me too but seriously the 90's rock. I dunno why maybe the fact that the songs at that time were more meaningful than of today. I'm not hating today's artists and I won't deny that their songs are awesome (I'm not good at singing so there) but I'm the type of person who likes songs that has meaning. Some songs today sound a bit meaningless and I always try to understand the meaning behind that song but in the end, I just end up being blank. And let's go back to the 90's. Yes boy bands rule at that time like the backstreet boys, westlife, etc but their songs are quite good though. I especially like the corrs, they're awesome and the other bands that rose in those years like the new radicals (I heard they're a one-hit wonder...not sure)As for the one today, I like bands like Cobra Starship lol (their songs are catchy I have to admit it) and other great bands like AAR, Panic! At the Disco, etc. Hmm Lady Gaga is okay for me too.Well, that's all I can say at all. Yes everything I've said is a bit unsatisfactory but I don't want to say any longer so there. So how about you? What do you... | |

| | Havent came out with a CD in 4-5 Years? What are you listening to? | | Ok, So as we all no Green Day as not came out with an album in an EXTREMELY long time( I consider it..) Which ofcourse bums me out but word on the record label is that they are coming out with a new 12 track album hopefully this year... Now this ofcourse has not been confirmed it is as of now just a rumor. But anyway my main question for discussion is how do you feel about them not releasing an album for this long and also what bands/songs/types of music have you been rocking/jammin/listening to in the meantime?? I personally have beeen listening to bands like Taking Back Sunday, Anti-Flag, Boys Like Girls, Cobra Starship and other bands along those lines. Please Post! | |
| | Would anyone like to help me with my Christmas present for my boyfriend? | | Among other things, I want to make him a mixed tape (and by tape, I mean CD), but I just realized that I don't know of many (if any) romantic songs that seem appropriate for men. All the really heartfelt songs I know seem to be girly or just something that my boyfriend would not appreciate. He likes all kinds of music really, but he is more of a rock guy than anything else. Some of his favorite bands/artists are Metallica, Anberlin, Cobra Starship, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and pretty much any classic rock group ever. Does anyone have any suggestions for some songs or artists that I should look into for the CD?Oh, and if you have any good sentimental gift ideas, I am open to that too. Right now I'm thinking that I'm going to do a scrapbook, but that idea doesn't have me particularly delighted, so I am open to other suggestions. | |

| | The Hush Sound's music | | It was just recently when i started to listen to the soundtrack of Snakes On A Plane and there was this song there called "Wine Red" by The Hush Sound. I liked it so much that i researched about this band and watched most of their gigs and music videos from youtube. The more i listened to their music, the more i'm falling in love with them. <3Their genres are indie, pop and rock. I'm a fan of these genres and i just couldn't believe how cool the songs they are making.Oh, their record label is fueled by ramen. The guys who brought us Panic! At the Disco, Cobra Starship, The Academy is..., Cute is what we aim for, and a whole lot more.Does anybody know the band i'm talking about? If yes, what do you think about them? And what's your favorite song from them? Please do share your views. I'd be glad to find people like me who dig The Hush Sound.=] | |
