Talk about the Ratt music that you love here! | | | | Have you ever met anyone famous?? | | I have met a lot of famous people. I used to work at a Citgo gas station in Nashville tn and a lot of the country singers buses would come in for fuel and they would come in, like I met Lorrie Morgan, Alan Jackson, Tracy Laurence, Vince Gill, Troy Aikman, and more. When I was 14 my best friends mom worked at a place in Fort worth where they had wrestling every saturday and I met Ric Flair, Von erichs, Micheal Hayes, and more .My moms bf was a security guard at reuniun arena in dallas texas and I met all of the hair band of the 1980's!! Went too a party with vince neil and tommy lee there and kissed tommy lee. Ratt was rude. I did not liek them at all.I went to a record signing of General Public so I met all of them. Dave Wakeling was soooo cute. Got all of their autographs. Had the album for years, but somehow it got mixed up with some yard sale stuff and got sold. I came out of the house and seen the woman walkign away with my autographj and started crying.who have you met

| | Old Time Comedy Shows...Do You Remember Them? | | Today we still have some great comedians, such as Robin Williams, but for some reason, many of today's newer comedians just can't hold a candle to the older ones. I remember for instance, so vividly watching The Carol Burnett Show, that was on Sunday nights from 1967 to 1978. To me that was a real classic comedy show...who can also forget the talents of Harvey Korman, Tim Conway, Viki Lawrence? And of course Carol Burnett herself...and gee who could forget her famous "Tarzan yell" of hers?If you remember this show...was there a favorite character that any of the regulars played? Any special episodes? My all time favorite was the spoof of Gone With the Wind...who could forget that "dress" she wore as she came down the stairs to meet Harvey Korman's Ratt Butler?...uh, something she saw in the window and couldn't resist?I was actually able to dig up a YouTube video of that one episode...There's a first part to it as well, but this is the second part, which features that dress.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TjhtxfSMIWk&feature=related
Do you remember her show? What other comedy based shows do you remember watching when you were younger?
| | AMERICAN IDOL: What should the Idols sing for rock week? | | Perhaps it's because we've endured back-to-back-to-back doses of Latin night, country night, and inspirational ballads night, but I'm oddly excited about the prospect of guest coaches Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora bringing a harder sound back to the Idol stage this coming Tuesday. And while, at first glance, none of the six remaining contestants appear likely to follow in the footsteps of fellow Idol alum Chris Daughtry, I've got a feeling they'll all excel in the rock genre. Think about it: Melinda's got the growl, Blake's got the cool, and Jordin's already successfully covered Pat Benatar. Since Fox's press release doesn't narrow down the theme to anything more specific than "rock" -- though, seriously, a "hair metal" night (featuring a group rendition of Ratt's "Round and Round") would be one for the ages -- I was pretty broad with my request list. Ch-ch-check it out, . - LaKisha Jones, Janis Joplin's "Try (Just a Little Bit Harder)" (but only if she tears her soul out of her chest and throws it down on the stage in the spirit of the original)
- Blake Lewis, Weezer's "Beverly Hills" (because dude's reign of sensitive balladry must...
