| Was Alfredo right to tell Toto not to return to his hometown? | | The scene in which Salvatore (Toto) tells his mother that it's only an hour's plane trip from Rome to get back to his hometown has to be one of the most heartbreaking in cinema. His mother's response "Don't tell me that after all these years" is very moving. But it transpires that he didn't come back because Alfredo, the projectionist who became his mentor, told him not to. Does the audience's view of Alfredo change when this is revealed? Or is Alfredo's behaviour justified by the fact that Salvatore has become a successful director? | |

It does speak of a very pure heart who could not afford to forget someone in his past. And that's exactly what I feel. | In-toto kitchens....anyone used them? | | Hi, visited a new showroom in Norwich today for a kitchen, they are called In-toto - has anyone else used them....?
I'm looking for a kitchen with something a little bit more than the average from Homebase and the like as the service i have been getting is almost pathetic.....just filling the kitchen with so many cabinets to get more ocommission (so i'm told) rather than listening to me....and several shakes of the head when i suggest i have my own apliances already to fit in....and will not be buying their somewhat overpriced ones....
